Perhaps because I’m a North American I’ve always thought of Poire William as a liqueur, but there they were at the supermarket in Aix en Provence, fresh and labeled. This painting’s on slightly larger paper than I usually work on as I was experimenting with larger paper real estate. Original small watercolour on 100% cotton 140lb white paper. (This is not a reproduction.)
