I’m find myself drawn to doing these ‘portraits’ of fruit and vegetables on a simple plate. These were my grandmother’s china plates in Royal Crown Derby’s Blue Mikado pattern. This painting is a little larger than most of the others so it’s a bit larger than life. Original small watercolour on Arches 100% cotton 140lb white paper. (This is not a reproduction.)
